DTC C2192/92 - Select Switch Error (Test Mode DTC)

DESCRIPTION

The tire pressure warning select switch has 2 positions: "MAIN" and "2nd". 2 sets of ID (2 sets of tires) for the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter can be registered to the tire pressure warning ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
- When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the IDs stored in the old ECU using the Techstream and write them down before removal.
- It is necessary to perform the initialization Initialization after the registration Registration of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU if the ECU and/or one of the valve and transmitters have been replaced.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE OF DATA LIST
(a) Make sure that the ignition switch is off.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(d) Turn the Techstream on.
(e) Check the values by referring to the table below. Enter the following menus: Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List.

Tire Pressure Monitor:





(f) Check that the value displayed on the Techstream changes when pressing the tire pressure warning select switch.
OK:
Tire pressure warning select switch value changes.
NG -- INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SELECT SWITCH
OK -- END
2. INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SELECT SWITCH





(a) Disconnect the tire pressure warning select switch T24 connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SELECT SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU - TIRE PRESSURE SELECT SWITCH)





(a) Disconnect the tire pressure warning ECU T23 connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SELECT SWITCH - BODY GROUND)





(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU
