DTC P1616 - Communication Error from HV ECU to Distance Control ECU

DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU receives signals from each sensor and ECU, then sends signals such as the cruise control operation signal, brake control operation signal and laser light emission prohibiting signal, etc. to the distance control ECU. The hybrid vehicle control ECU is the only component that has a function to record and output the DTCs in the dynamic laser cruise control system. Therefore, if the distance control ECU detects a communication error from the hybrid vehicle control ECU, it sends the malfunction signal back to the hybrid vehicle control ECU.






INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: The distance control ECU is considered normal because it determines that signals sent from the hybrid vehicle control ECU are not normal. If a communication error occurs, DTC U0293 will be set.

PROCEDURE

1. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
(a) Replace the hybrid vehicle control ECU Removal.
NOTE: When the hybrid vehicle control ECU is replaced with a new one, initialization must be performed Installation.
