DTC P3138-349 - Collision Sensor High Input

DESCRIPTION
- The HV control ECU monitors the connection status of the circuit breaker sensor No.1 signal (collision signal) line. If the ECU detects a malfunction, it will alert the driver.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU (VOLTAGE CHECK)





(a) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- INSPECT CIRCUIT BREAKER SENSOR NO.1
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CLEAR DTC (HV)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(c) Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
(d) Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. RECONFIRM OUTPUT DTCS (HV)
(a) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(b) Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
(c) Read output DTCs. Hybrid Control System

Result:
P3137-348 and P3138-349 are output.
NO -- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
YES -- REPAIR HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
4. INSPECT CIRCUIT BREAKER SENSOR NO.1
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Disconnect the C17 circuit breaker sensor No.1 connector.





(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE CIRCUIT BREAKER SENSOR NO.1
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
