INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE: When replacing the skid control ECU, perform initialization of linear solenoid valve and calibration Initialization.
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT BRAKE MASTER STROKE SIMULATOR CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the brake master stroke simulator cylinder assembly connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE BRAKE MASTER STROKE SIMULATOR CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN SKID CONTROL ECU AND STROKE SIMULATOR CYLINDER)
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector and the brake master stroke simulator cylinder connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (SS TERMINAL)
(a) Turn the ignition switch on.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Voltage:
NG -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Clear DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Turn the ignition switch on.
(c) Check the same DTCs are recorded Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result:
B -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU
A -- END
