DTC P0A95 - High Voltage Fuse
DESCRIPTION
WIRING DIAGRAM
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
CAUTION:
- Before inspecting the high-voltage system, take safety precautions to prevent electrical shocks, such as wearing insulated gloves and removing the service plug grip. After removing the service plug grip, put it in your pocket to prevent other technicians from reconnecting it while you are working on the high-voltage system.
- After disconnecting the service plug grip, wait for at least 5 minutes before touching any of the high-voltage connectors or terminals.
HINT: At least 5 minutes is required to discharge the high-voltage capacitor inside the w/ converter inverter assembly.
PROCEDURE
1. DTC OUTPUT (DTC P0A1F IS OUTPUT)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(c) Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
(d) Read output DTCs Hybrid Battery System.
Result:
B -- GO TO DTC CHART (P0A1F)
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK EV BATTERY FUSE (HIGH VOLTAGE FUSE)
CAUTION: Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
(a) Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
(b) Remove the service plug grip. Components
(c) Remove the fuse block cover. Components
(d) Check the continuity between the EV battery fuse terminals.
Standard Resistance:
Below 1 Ohms
HINT: No need to remove the EV battery fuse when checking.
NG -- REPLACE EV BATTERY FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT EV BATTERY PLUG
CAUTION: Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.
(a) Remove the battery cover. Components
(b) Remove the nut shown in the illustration.
(c) Disconnect the connector shown in the illustration.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE EV BATTERY PLUG
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK MAIN BATTERY CABLE
CAUTION: Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.
(a) Remove the nut shown in the illustration.
(b) Check the continuity between the main battery cable terminals.
Standard Resistance:
Below 1 Ohms
NG -- REPLACE MAIN BATTERY CABLE
OK -- REPLACE BATTERY SMART UNIT
