PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM: ADJUSTMENT

ADJUSTMENT

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE
HINT: Reassembly

3. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 112 Nm (1137 kgf-cm, 82 ft-lbf)
4. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL
(a) Slowly depress the parking brake lever all the way, and count the number of clicks.
Parking brake lever travel at 196 N (20 kgf, 44 lbf):
5 to 7 clicks
5. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL





(a) Remove the console panel upper.
(b) Turn the adjusting nut until the parking brake lever travel becomes correct.
(c) Check whether parking brake drags or not.
(d) When operating the parking brake lever, check that the parking brake lever indicator light comes on.
(e) Install the console panel upper.
