B1443/43 - Air Outlet Damper Control Servo Motor Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The air outlet damper servo motor (for driver side mode) sends pulse signals to inform the air conditioning amplifier assembly of the damper position. The air conditioning amplifier assembly activates the motor (normal or reverse) based on the signals to move the air outlet damper (for driver side mode) to any position, which controls the air outlet changes.
HINT
Confirm that no mechanical problem is present because this trouble code can be stored when either a damper link or damper is mechanically locked.

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (AIR OUTLET DAMPER SERVO MOTOR)
(a) Use the Data List to check if the servo motor is functioning properly.
Air Conditioner
OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG -- REPLACE AIR OUTLET DAMPER SERVO MOTOR
OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal
2. REPLACE AIR OUTLET DAMPER SERVO MOTOR
(a) Replace the air outlet damper servo motor (for driver side mode) Disassembly.
HINT
Since the servo motor cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the servo motor with a normal one.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC B1443 is not output.
NG -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY Disassembly
OK -- REPLACE AIR OUTLET DAMPER SERVO MOTOR Disassembly
