C1681 - Front Camera Feedback Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
This DTC is stored if the parking assist ECU judges as a result of its self check that a synchronization problem is occurring in the image signal sent from the front television camera assembly to the parking assist ECU.
WIRING DIAGRAM
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - FRONT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the F37 connector from the parking assist ECU.
(b) Disconnect the A43 connector from the front television camera assembly.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT FRONT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (BCB+, BGND)
(a) Reconnect the F37 connector to the parking assist ECU.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(c) Disconnect the A43 connector from the front television camera assembly.
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

NG -- REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT PARKING ASSIST ECU (BCV+, GND1)
(a) Reconnect the A43 connector to the front television camera assembly.
(b) Reconnect the F36 and F37 connectors to the parking assist ECU.
(c) Check the waveform of the front television camera assembly using an oscilloscope.
HINT
A waterproof connector is used for the front television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the parking assist ECU with the connector connected.
OK:
Waveform is as shown in the illustration.
HINT
The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the front television camera assembly.
