Removal
HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER
(a) Remove the front bumper cover Removal.
2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System:
* After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
4. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose from the cooler condenser.
NOTICE:
* When removing the bolt, do not allow any tools to contact the pipe.
* When removing the bolt, hold a part of the pipe near the connector.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
5. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the liquid pipe A from the cooler condenser.
NOTICE:
* When removing the bolts, do not allow any tools to contact the pipe.
* When removing the bolts, hold a part of the pipe near the connector.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the liquid pipe A.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
6. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Removal
7. REMOVE HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Removal
8. REMOVE LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Removal
9. REMOVE SHROUD BLOWER ASSEMBLY Removal
10. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER AIR DUCT
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and transmission oil cooler air duct.
11. REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and oil cooler.
12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the hood lock nut cap.
(b) Remove the 3 bolts, nut and brace.
13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER Removal
14. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal
15. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 8 bolts and radiator support.
16. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the cooler condenser by pulling it up in the direction shown in the illustration.
17. REMOVE COOLER DRYER
(a) Using a 14 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the cap from the modulator.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the cap.
(c) Using pliers, remove the cooler dryer.
