DESCRIPTION
The turn signal flasher receives a turn signal switch signal from the headlight dimmer switch, and illuminates the front turn signal light and rear combination light.

PROCEDURE
1. CHECK SWITCH FUNCTION
(a) Check if the hazard warning switch and headlight dimmer switch operate normally.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TURN SIGNAL FLASHER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the E19 turn signal flasher connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

3. CHECK TURN SIGNAL LIGHT FUNCTION
(a) Check the malfunctioning turn signal light.

(a) Disconnect the E19 turn signal flasher connector.
(b) Disconnect the A41 headlight connector.
(c) Disconnect the K4 rear combination light connector.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

B -- REPLACE HEADLIGHT Removal
A -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TURN SIGNAL LIGHT - TURN SIGNAL FLASHER AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the E19 turn signal flasher connector.
(b) Disconnect the A47 headlight connector.
(c) Disconnect the L3 rear combination light connector.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

6. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH (TURN SIGNAL SWITCH)
(a) Remove the headlight dimmer switch Testing and Inspection.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH - TURN SIGNAL FLASHER AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the E14 headlight dimmer switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the E19 turn signal flasher connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE TURN SIGNAL FLASHER ASSEMBLY Removal
8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TURN SIGNAL FLASHER - DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY)
(a) Disconnect the E19 turn signal flasher connector.
(b) Disconnect the F52 display and navigation module display connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
9. CHECK DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY (HAZARD WARNING SWITCH)
(a) Temporarily replace the display and navigation module display with a new or normally functioning one Removal.
(b) Check the hazard warning switch operation.
OK:
Hazard warning switch operation is normal.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- END (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY IS DEFECTIVE)
10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TURN SIGNAL FLASHER - MULTI-DISPLAY)
(a) Disconnect the E19 turn signal flasher connector.
(b) Disconnect the F52 multi-display connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
11. CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY (HAZARD WARNING SWITCH)
(a) Temporarily replace the multi-display with a new or normally functioning one Removal.
(b) Check the hazard warning switch operation.
OK:
Hazard warning switch operation is normal.
