Removal





CELLULAR COMMUNICATION: BACK-UP BATTERY: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)

NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX Removal

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.

5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.

6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH RH Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE BACK-UP BATTERY WITH BRACKET

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the 2 bolts and back-up battery with bracket.

11. REMOVE NO. 1 TELEPHONE BRACKET

(a) Remove the nut.





(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the No. 1 telephone bracket as shown in the illustration.

12. REMOVE NO. 2 TELEPHONE BRACKET

(a) Remove the No. 2 telephone bracket as shown in the illustration.





13. REMOVE BACK-UP BATTERY
