DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is an open or short circuit in the communication line between the front sensors and ECU, or when there is a malfunction in a front sensor.

1. CHECK FOR DTC (C1AEC)

(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - FRONT CORNER SENSOR LH)

(a) Disconnect the I1 clearance warning ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the B1 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front corner sensor LH) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT CORNER SENSOR LH - FRONT CENTER SENSOR LH)

(a) Disconnect the B1 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front corner sensor LH) connector.

(b) Disconnect the B2 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor LH) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT CENTER SENSOR LH - FRONT CENTER SENSOR RH)

(a) Disconnect the B2 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor LH) connector.

(b) Disconnect the B3 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor RH) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT CENTER SENSOR RH - FRONT CORNER SENSOR RH)

(a) Disconnect the B3 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor RH) connector.

(b) Disconnect the B4 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front corner sensor RH) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. INSPECT NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT CORNER SENSOR LH)

(a) Remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front corner sensor LH) Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT CORNER SENSOR LH) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. INSPECT NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT CENTER SENSOR LH)

(a) Remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor LH) Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT CENTER SENSOR LH) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

8. INSPECT NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT CENTER SENSOR RH)

(a) Remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor RH) Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

9. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT CORNER SENSOR RH)

(a) Replace the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front corner sensor RH) with a normally functioning sensor Removal.

10. CHECK FOR DTC (C1AEC)

(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(b) Disconnect the B2 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor LH) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(b) Disconnect the B3 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor RH) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(b) Disconnect the B4 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front corner sensor RH) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
