Diagnosis System

PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: SIDE MONITOR SYSTEM: DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

1. SIDE MONITOR DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

(a) For side monitor system diagnosis, signals received by the parking assist ECU can be checked and the side monitor system can be calibrated, adjusted and checked using the display and navigation module display*1 or accessory meter assembly*2.

NOTICE:
Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the side monitor system may be needed Side Monitor System.

HINT
The displayed screens and items may differ depending on vehicle specifications.

2. DIAGNOSIS SCREEN TRANSITION

3. START DIAGNOSTIC MODE

(a) Turn the display and navigation module display*1 or accessory meter*2.

(b) Retract the outer rear view mirrors.

(c) Operate the light control switch within 10 seconds: Off -> Turn on -> Turn off -> Turn on -> Turn off -> Turn on -> Turn off.

4. FINISH DIAGNOSTIC MODE

(a) There are 2 methods to finish diagnostic mode. Finish the mode by using either of them.

(1) Method 1

Turn the engine switch off.

(2) Method 2

Press the DISP switch*1 or MODE switch*2 of the display and navigation module display*1 or accessory meter assembly*2.

5. SIGNAL CHECK (parking assist ECU input signal)

(a) Start diagnostic mode.

(b) SIGNAL CHECK Side Monitor System

(c) Finish diagnostic mode.

6. CALIBRATION WHEN SERVICING VEHICLE

NOTICE:
Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the side monitor system may be needed Repair Instruction - Initialization.
