WIPER / WASHER: WIPER SWITCH: REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
2. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER
(a) Turn the steering wheel to the left as necessary to remove the screw.
(b) Turn the steering wheel to the right as necessary to remove the screw.
(c) Remove the screw.
(d) Detach the 2 claws and remove the lower steering column cover.
3. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER
(a) w/o Driver Monitor Camera:
(1) Detach the 4 clips and claw and remove the upper steering column cover.
(b) w/ Driver Monitor Camera:
(1) Detach the 4 clips and claw and remove the upper steering column cover.
(2) Disconnect the connector.
4. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Detach the claw and remove the windshield wiper switch assembly.
