METER / GAUGE / DISPLAY: METER / GAUGE SYSTEM: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. INSPECT SPEEDOMETER
(a) Check speedometer operation.
(1) Using a speedometer tester (calibrated chassis dynamometer), check the speedometer indication according to the table below.
Reference: mph (for U.S.A.)
Reference: km/h (for Canada)
Reference: km/h (for Other Countries)
NOTICE:
Tire wear as well as over or under inflation will cause errors.
(2) Check the deviation of the speedometer indication from the acceptable range.
Reference:
Less than 0.5 km/h (0.3 mph)
HINT
If the indication is not as specified, go to Problem Symptoms Table Problem Symptoms Table.
2. INSPECT TACHOMETER
(a) Connect the Techstream, and start the engine.
(b) Compare the test results with the tachometer indications.
DC 13.5 V, at 25°C (77°F)

3. INSPECT HEAD-UP DISPLAY
HINT
When the head-up display position or illuminance has not adjusted properly, head-up display may not be seen in the front glass. Before starting following inspection, confirm the head-up display position and illuminance.
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) while pressing and holding the head-up display on switch.
(c) Keep pressing the head-up display on switch and turn the engine switch off.
(d) Keep pressing the head-up display on switch and turn the engine switch on (IG).
(e) The head-up display will show "TEST MODE".
(f) Inspect the head-up display as shown in the illustration.
(g) Turn the engine switch off to finish test mode.
