DESCRIPTION

This circuit is the power source circuit for the headup display. This circuit provides two types of power sources; one is a constant power source mainly used as a backup power source, and the other is a power source mainly used for signal transmission.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT
Before starting the following inspection, confirm the headup display position and illuminance, then perform the on-vehicle inspection On-Vehicle Inspection.

PROCEDURE

1. SYSTEM CHECK

(a) Check the symptom of the headup display.

B -- SYSTEM CHECK
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADUP DISPLAY CIRCUIT)

(a) Disconnect the H1 connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADUP DISPLAY - SATELLITE SWITCH SET)

(a) Disconnect the H1 and F23 connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT SATELLITE SWITCH SET

(a) Disconnect the H1 connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- REPLACE HEADUP DISPLAY Removal

5. SYSTEM CHECK

(a) Confirm the symptoms.

6. CONFIRM DTC OUTPUT

(a) Check for DTCs On-Vehicle Inspection.

B -- REPLACE HEADUP DISPLAY
A -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - HEADUP DISPLAY)

(a) Disconnect the F16 and H1 connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

8. REPLACE HEADUP DISPLAY

(a) Replace the headup display with a new or a known good one. Removal.

OK:

The operation of the headup display returns to normal.

NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal

OK -- END

9. CONFIRM DTC OUTPUT

(a) Check for DTCs On-Vehicle Inspection.

10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - HEADUP DISPLAY)

(a) Disconnect the F16 and H1 connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

11. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the combination meter assembly to a new or a normal one Removal.

The operation of the headup display returns to normal.

(a) Replace the headup display to a new or a normal one Removal.
