B2002
PRE-COLLISION: PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM: B2002: Open in Seat Belt Motor RH Circuit
DTC B2002 - Open in Seat Belt Motor RH Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The seat belt control ECU receives information from the distance control ECU using CAN communication and tightens the seat by operating the motor in the front seat outer belt assembly RH.
CAUTION: The pretensioner is built into the front seat outer belt assembly RH. Be sure to follow the correct inspection procedure, as failure to follow the correct procedure (such as inspection of incorrect connectors) may deploy the pretensioner.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE: When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed Pre-Collision System.
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Disconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
(b) Disconnect the Q38 connector of the seat belt control ECU.
(c) Using SST, connect P8-1 and P8-2 of the wire harness connector for the front seat outer belt assembly RH.
NOTICE: Do not forcibly insert SST into the terminals of the connector.
SST: 09843-18040
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
