DTC B2057 - Yaw Rate Sensor

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when a malfunction in the yaw rate and acceleration sensor is detected. This circuit consists of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor and seat belt control ECU. Signals are sent from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor using CAN communication.






INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE: When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed Pre-Collision System.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
(a) Clear the DTCs Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.
(b) Turn the cruise control main switch on.
(c) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 45 km/h (27 mph) or more.
(d) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
DTC U0123 is not output.
NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Turn the engine switch off.
(c) Start the engine.
(d) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 30 km/h (18 mph) or more, turn the steering wheel, and decelerate the vehicle (depress the brake pedal).
(e) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
DTC C1234 is not output.
NG -- GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)
(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.
(b) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
DTC B2057 is not output.
NG -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
OK -- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS (SYMPTOM SIMULATION)
