DTC B2235 - Front Right Sensor Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front right sensor) is installed on the front bumper.
The clearance warning ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the front right sensor. If the front right sensor's circuit has an open, short or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR
(a) Remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.
(b) Disconnect the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NOTICE:
- Set the tester to the 100 kOhms range before performing the measurement.
NG -- REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT RIGHT SENSOR)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR)
(a) Disconnect the clearance warning ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

C -- REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
