DTC P1615 - Communication Error from Distance Control ECU to ECM

DESCRIPTION

The distance control ECU receives information about the area in front of the vehicle from the millimeter wave radar sensor and then sends a brake control demand signal (deceleration demand) and diagnosis signals, such as millimeter wave radar sensor grime signals or millimeter wave radar sensor malfunction signals to the ECM.






INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE:
When the distance control ECU or ECM is replaced with a new one, initialization must be performed Installation.

PROCEDURE

1. REPLACE DISTANCE CONTROL ECU
(a) Replace the distance control ECU Components.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC
(a) Clear the DTC Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.
(b) Turn the cruise control main switch on.
(c) Drive the vehicle at the required speed (45 km/h (27 mph) or higher).
(d) Check if the same DTC is recorded Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.
