Removal








HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair
2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal
3. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal
4. SEPARATE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY Removal
5. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal
6. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
7. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH Removal
8. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE





(a) Disconnect the connector and 2 clamps.





(b) Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose from the compressor.
(c) Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant suction hose.
NOTE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering.

9. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge sub-assembly from the compressor.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge sub-assembly.
NOTE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering.

10. REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND PULLEY





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.





(b) Using an E8 "TORX" socket, remove the stud bolts and compressor.
HINT: Remove the compressor and pulley from the vehicle with the stud bolts remaining in the compressor.





(c) Remove the bolt and bracket.
