Removal








WIPER AND WASHER: FRONT WIPER MOTOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal
5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal
6. REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH





(a) Using a clip remover, detach the 3 clips and remove the upper fender protector.
7. REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

8. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM LH
(a) Remove the nut, wiper arm and blade.
9. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM RH
(a) Remove the nut, wiper arm and blade.
10. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL





(a) Using a clip remover, detach the 11 clips to remove the hood to cowl top seal.
11. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH





(a) Remove the 6 clips and cowl top ventilator louver RH.
12. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH





(a) Pull the cowl side seal in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the 2 claws and remove the cowl side seal.
13. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

14. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER PROTECTOR LH





(a) Remove the clip and cowl top ventilator louver protector LH.
15. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 2 clips.
(b) Detach the 9 claws.
(c) Remove the cowl top ventilator louver.
16. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER LINK ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the connector. Then detach the clamp and remove the wire harness from the cowl top panel.
(b) Remove the 4 bolts and wiper link.
HINT: The 3 bolts labeled A in the illustration cannot be removed from the wiper link because they are integrated into the wiper link.

17. REMOVE WIPER MOTOR COVER
(a) Remove the wiper motor cover.
18. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the rod of the wiper link from the wiper motor as shown in the illustration.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.





(b) Place matchmarks on the wiper motor, crank arm, and crank arm nut.
(c) Remove the nut and crank arm.





(d) Remove the 3 bolts and wiper motor.
