Removal





AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Removal

3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal

4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
* After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:





* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal

6. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

8. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal

9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

10. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

11. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH

12. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH

HINT
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

13. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY Removal

14. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH Removal

15. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH Removal

16. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH





(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 clips.

(b) Partially remove the fender liner.

HINT
It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the bumper assembly can be removed later.

17. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH

HINT
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

18. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER





(a) Put protective tape around the front bumper.

(b) Remove the bolt and 8 screws.

(c) Detach the clip and remove the bumper seal bracket.





HINT
Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

(d) Detach the 5 claws and disconnect the front bumper as shown in the illustration.





HINT
Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

(e) Disconnect the 2 fog light connectors and remove the front bumper.

(f) w/ Intuitive Parking Assist system:

Disconnect the No. 4 engine room main wire connector and remove the front bumper.

19. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER Removal

20. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT Removal

21. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER Removal

22. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER Removal

23. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

24. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal

25. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE Removal

26. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE Removal

27. REMOVE INLET OIL COOLER HOSE

28. REMOVE OUTLET OIL COOLER HOSE

29. REMOVE OUTLET ENGINE ROOM ECU DUCT Removal

30. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY Removal

31. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the 3 bolts and sensor.

32. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

(a) Detach the claw, and remove the 3 screws and cover.





33. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal

34. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

(a) Disconnect the 3 connectors and detach the 2 clamps.





(b) Detach the 5 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.





(c) Remove the 5 bolts and upper support.





35. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair

36. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose from the cooler condenser.

NOTICE:
* When loosening the bolt, do not allow any tools to contact the pipe.
* When loosening the bolt, hold a part of the pipe near the connector.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

37. DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the liquid tube from the cooler condenser.

NOTICE:
* When loosening the bolt, do not allow any tools to contact the pipe.
* When loosening the bolt, hold a part of the pipe near the connector.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the liquid tube.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

38. DISCONNECT NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING HOSE





(a) Remove the clip and disconnect the cooling hose.

39. DISCONNECT NO. 2 INVERTER COOLING HOSE





(a) Remove the clip and disconnect the cooling hose.

40. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 4 bolts and cooler condenser.

41. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 4 bolts and radiator.

42. REMOVE COOLER DRYER

(a) Using a 14 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the cap from the modulator.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the cap.





(c) Using pliers, remove the cooler dryer.
