Normal Operation
When the key is placed in START, voltage is sent to the audio unit through circuit 1000 (RD/BK). When the audio unit receives this signal, it mutes the speaker signals. After the key is removed from START, the audio unit directs audio signals to the audio amplifier, then to the speakers through separate positive and negative circuits. There are 2 enable/clip circuits: circuit 173 (DG/VT) enables the main amplifier, and circuit 174 (GY/BK) enables the subwoofer. The enable/clip circuits carry out 2 functions: turn the amplifier (or subwoofer) on, and monitor an overload condition to the amplifier. In the event of an overload, the audio unit clips the audio output signal to the amplifier (heard as distortion).

DTC B2913 - sets when no return signal is sent from the subwoofer amplifier through circuit 174 (GY/BK).DTC B2913 only indicates there is a fault in the subwoofer system; it does not indicate a particular fault.
