Intake Manifold: Service and Repair





INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

WARNING:
- A hot engine and intake air system can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before removing the intake air system.

1. Remove the battery cover. Removal and Replacement

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Removal and Replacement

3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

4. Install in the reverse order of removal.









Air Cleaner Cover Removal Note

1. Remove the MAF sensor/IAT sensor No.1. Service and Repair

2. Remove the air cleaner cover and air hose as a single unit.

3. Remove the air cleaner cover.

Air Cleaner Case Removal Note

1. Remove the air cleaner case and fresh-air duct No.3 as a single unit.

2. Remove the air cleaner case.

Resonance Chamber Removal Note

1. Remove the splash shield (LH). Splash Shield Removal/Installation

2. Set the front mudguard (LH) out of the way. Service and Repair

3. Remove the resonance chamber.

Vacuum Hose Removal Note

1. Remove the plug hole plate. Plug Hole Plate Removal/Installation

2. Remove the vacuum hose.

Intake Manifold Removal Note

1. Remove the MAP sensor/IAT sensor No.2. Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor/Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor No.2 Removal/Installation

2. Disconnect the harness clip from the intake manifold as shown in the figure.






Evaporative Hose Installation Note

1. Install the evaporative hose as shown in the figure.






Vacuum Hose Installation Note

1. Install the vacuum hose as shown in the figure.






Fresh-air Duct No.3 Installation Note

1. Install the fresh-air duct No.3 as shown in the figure.






Air Cleaner Case Installation Note

1. Install the air cleaner case as shown in the figure.






Air Hose Installation Note

1. Install the air hose as shown in the figure.

1. Install the ventilation hose as shown in the figure.
