Variable Induction Control Actuator: Testing and Inspection

Power Valve Actuator Testing:

1. Disconnect power valve actuator vacuum hose.
2. Remove power valve cover plate.
3. Connect hand vacuum pump to power valve actuator.
4. Slowly apply vacuum, valve should start to open between 4 and 8 in.Hg and should hold vacuum.
5. If Actuator leaks, replace actuator
6. If Actuator Holds Vacuum and the valve does not open, Check for sticking and clean as necessary.
7. Repeat step 3. If Valve still does not open, replace upper intake manifold assembly
