Removal and Installation


COMPONENTS
Heater and Cooling Unit











NOTE:
The evaporator and expansion valve assembly cannot be disassembled. Replace them as an assembly.

REMOVAL
1. Remove the steering member. Refer to Service and Repair.
2. Remove the blower unit. Refer to Blower Unit.
3. Remove the heater and cooling unit foot duct RH.
4. Remove the air mix door motor RH.
5. Remove the evaporator cover.
6. Remove the evaporator and expansion valve assembly.

CAUTION:
Cap or wrap the joint of the pipes with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.





7. Remove the intake sensor to transfer to the new evaporator and expansion valve assembly.

CAUTION:
Mark the mounting position of the intake sensor.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:
- Replace the O-rings with new ones, then apply compressor oil to them when installing them.
