INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY


Removal and Installation - Instrument Panel


CAUTION:
- Be careful not to scratch instrument panel pad and other parts.
- Before servicing, turn ignition switch OFF, disconnect both battery terminals and wait at least three minutes.

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative and positive battery terminals, then wait at least three minutes.
2. Remove the steering wheel. Removal And Installation.





3. Using a suitable tool, gently remove both instrument panel side finishers (1).
4. Remove the instrument lower panel (LH) (1).
5. Remove the steering column covers. Removal And Installation Steering Column Covers, "Removal and Installation - Steering Column Covers".
6. Remove cluster lid A. Cluster Lid A.
7. Remove the combination meter. Removal And Installation.
8. Remove the glove box assembly. Service and Repair.
9. Remove the front passenger air bag module. Front Passenger Air Bag Module.
10. Remove cluster lid D. Cluster Lid D.
11. Remove cluster lid C. Cluster Lid C.
12. Remove the display screen. Removal And Installation Bose With Monochrome Display (BOSE W/MONOCHROME DISPLAY), Removal And Installation Bose With Color Display (BOSE W/COLOR DISPLAY) or Removal And Installation Bose With Color Display With Navigation
13. Partially remove front body side welts (LH/RH).
14. Remove the front pillar finishers (LH/RH). Removal And Installation.
15. Remove the center console side finishers (LH/RH). Exploded View.
16. Remove both tweeter speaker grilles and disconnect the harness connectors.
17. Remove the tweeter speakers (LH/RH). Removal And Installation Base Audio (BASE AUDIO), AV-
Removal And Installation Bose With Color Display, "Removal and Installation.
Removal And Installation Bose With Color Display With Navigation (BOSE W/COLOR DISPLAY W/NAVI).
18. Remove the center speaker, if equipped. Removal And Installation Bose With Monochrome Display BOSE W/MONOCHROME DISPLAY), Removal And Installation Bose With Color Display (BOSE W/COLOR DISPLAY) or Removal And Installation Bose With Color Display With Navigation, "Removal and Installation" (BOSE W/COLOR DISPLAY W/NAVI).





19. Remove the remaining instrument panel screws (A).
20. Disconnect the audio harness connectors located near the RH A-pillar.
21. Lift the instrument panel high enough in order to disconnect the harness clip attached to the air duct, and all the necessary harness connectors, then remove the instrument panel.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
- If replacing the instrument panel, transfer all the necessary parts to the new instrument panel.
