HEATER & COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY

Removal and Installation


COMPONENTS












REMOVAL

NOTE:
When removing [hoses, tubes, or specific components], cap or plug opening(s) to prevent fluid from spilling.
1.Discharge the refrigerant from the A/C system. HFC-134A (R-134A) Service Procedure.
2.Drain the engine coolant from the cooling system. Service and Repair
(QR25DE), Service and Repair (VQ35DE).
3.Remove the front wiper drive assembly. Service and Repair.
4.Disconnect the negative and positive battery terminals.
5.Remove the lower RH cowl.
6.Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core pipes.
7.Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the expansion valve. Component.
8.Remove the instrument panel assembly. Removal And Installation.
9.Remove the steering column assembly. Removal And Installation.
10.Disconnect the drain hose.
11.Remove the heater and cooling unit assembly attached to the steering member as one assembly from the vehicle.
12.Remove the blower unit from the heater and cooling unit and steering member assembly.
13.Remove the heater and cooling unit from the steering member.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
- Fill the radiator with the specified engine coolant. Service and Repair (QR25DE), Service and Repair (VQ35DE).
- Recharge the A/C system. HFC-134A (R-134A) Service Procedure.
