P18A6 WAKE UP SIGNAL

DTC DETECTION LOGIC







DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE


1. PREPARATION BEFORE WORK

If another "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" occurs just before, power switch OFF and wait for at least
10 seconds, then perform the next test.
- GO TO 2.

2. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

With CONSULT
1.Power switch ON and wait for 4 minutes or more.
2.Check DTC.
Is "P18A6" detected?
YES- Go to "Diagnosis Procedure" .
NO- INSPECTION END


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK WAKE UP SIGNAL

Check the voltage between electric shift control module vehicle side harness connector terminal and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- 1.Check intermittent incident. Refer to "Intermittent Incident" Intermittent Incident.
2.If inspection result is OK, replace the electric shift control module. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal And Installation.
NO- GO TO 2.

2. CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ELECTRIC SHIFT CONTROL MODULE AND BCM

1.Power switch OFF.
2.Disconnect the electric shift control module connector.
3.Disconnect the BCM connector.
4.Check the continuity between electric shift control module vehicle side harness connector terminal and
BCM vehicle side harness connector terminal.





5.Check the continuity between electric shift control module vehicle side harness connector terminal and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Check the BCM. Refer to "Reference Value" Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters.
NO- Repair or replace damaged parts.
