Test C: Fuel Gage Indicates Empty When There's Fuel In the Tank
Disconnect the Fuel Tank Unit connector C409 and turn the Ignition Switch to RUN. (Fuel Gage does not respond instantaneously due to anti-slosh device.)^ If Fuel Gage now indicates F, replace the Fuel Gage Sender.
^ If Fuel Gage still indicates E, check PPL (30) wire for a short ground. Check the BLK (150) wire at Instrument Cluster connector C1 terminal 7 for a good ground. If both are OK, replace Instrument Cluster.
