Hood: Adjustments



Hood Adjustment

The hood hinges are bolted to the fender and the hood. Fore-aft adjustment may be made by elongating the hood-side hinge holes. Vertical adjustment at the front may be made by adjusting the hood bumpers up or down. Gap tolerances are 4 +/- 1.5 mm (0.16 +/- 0.06 in) and flush tolerances are 0 +/- 1.5 mm (0 +/- 0.06 in).

1. Open the hood.




2. Loosen the hinge to hood bolts.
3. Adjust the hood to the fender position.
4. Close the hood.
5. Check the alignment.
6. Open the hood.
7. Adjust hood as needed.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

8. Tighten the upper hood hinge bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).





9. Adjust the hood bumpers.
10. Close the hood.
