Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the oil level indicator.




2. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
3. Remove the engine harness clip (1) from the oil level indicator tube.




4. Remove the oil level indicator tube bolt.
5. Remove the oil level indicator tube.



Installation Procedure





1. Lubricate the oil level indicator tube O-ring seal with lubricant. Refer to Sealers, Adhesives, and Lubricants (Specifications) for the correct part number.
2. Install the oil level indicator tube.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

3. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





4. Install the engine harness clip (1) to the oil level indicator tube.
5. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .




6. Install the oil level indicator.
