Engine Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure






Important: Pull upward on the front of the engine cover (1) to detach the engine cover to fuel injector rail retaining clips (2).


1. Detach the engine cover (1) from the fuel rail (3).
2. Remove the engine cover (1) from the engine compartment.



Installation Procedure






Important: Lower the rear of the engine cover (1) to the engine and align the engine cover to fuel injector rail retaining clips (2) to the fuel rail (3).



Important: Make sure that the engine cover retainer (3) correctly engages the fuel rail (5), clear of the PCV hose (4).


1. Position the engine cover (1) to the fuel rail (6).

Important: Press down on the engine cover (1) to ensure the engine cover to fuel injector rail retaining clips (2) are fully engaged to prevent an induced rattle condition.


2. Install the engine cover (1) to the fuel rail (6).
