Defroster Grille Replacement (LWB)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the instrument panel outer trim cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the centre A - pillar ventilation trim panel. Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement (Service and Repair) .




3. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to pry loose the inner edge of the right windshield defrost grille (2).
4. Grasp the right windshield defroster grille (3) and carefully pull to disengage the retainer clips (1). The right side is shown, the left side is the same.
5. Remove the right windshield defroster grille (2).
6. Remove the left windshield defroster grille.




7. Grasp the centre windshield defroster grille (2) and carefully pull to disengage the retaining clips (2) from the I/P pad (3).




8. Remove the sunload sensor (1) from the centre defroster grille (2) by turning it anti-clockwise to release it from the centre defroster grille (2).
9. Remove the centre defroster grille (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the sunload sensor (1) to the centre defroster grille (2) by turning it clockwise to secure it to the centre defroster grille (2).




2. Install the centre windshield defroster grille (2) by engaging the retaining clips (1) to the I/P pad (3).
3. Install the left windshield defroster grille




4. Install the right windshield defroster grille (2) by engaging the retainer clips (1).
5. Ensure the defroster grille (2) is flush with I/P pad (3).
6. Install the centre A - pillar ventilation trim panel. Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement (Service and Repair) .
7. Install the instrument panel outer trim cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement (Service and Repair) .
