High Mount Stop Lamp Bulb Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the headlining. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the center high mount stop lamp (CHMSL) assembly. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement (Service and Repair) .





Important: If any LEDs on the PCB does not function, the entire PCB has to be replaced.


3. Apply suitable pressure to the retainers (3) and detach the CHMSL lense (1) in an upward direction away from the CHMSL bezel (4).
4. Detach the PCB (2) from the CHMSL bezel (4) in an upward direction.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the PCB (2) to the CHMSL bezel (4).
2. Install the CHMSL lense (1) to the CHMSL bezel (4).

Important: Listen for an audible click to confirm correct installation of the CHMSL lense (1).


3. Apply suitable pressure to the CHMSL lense (1) to engage the retainers (3) to the CHMSL lense (1).
4. Install the CHMSL assembly. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement (Service and Repair)
5. Install the headlining. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair)
