DTC Descriptors
DTC B367A 58
- Deck Lid Latched Rear Sensor Circuit incorrect reaction after event
DTC B367A 59
- Deck Lid Latched Rear Sensor Circuit circuit/component protection time out
Diagnostic Fault Information
Circuit/System Description
S3 and S4 are part of the Rear Compartment Lid Release switch. The folding top control (FTC) module uses S3 and S4 to determine whether the claws at the rear of the deck lid are latched into the deck lid or unlatched. S3 closes and supplies a 12-volt reference to the signal circuit when the claws are unlatched. S4 closes and supplies a 12-volt reference to the signal circuit when the claws are latched.
Conditions for Running the DTC
The FTC module is operational.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
An open is detected on the signal circuit of S4.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
The top is disabled.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
The fault is no longer present and the top completes one cycle.
Diagnostic Aids
* A weak battery may cause DTC B367A 59 to set.
* A short to B+ may damage S4.

Circuit/System Testing
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at S4.
2. Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the 12-volt reference circuit terminal C and ground.
• If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the 12-volt reference circuit for a short to ground or open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the FTC module.
3. Verify a test lamp illuminates between the signal circuit terminal B and B+.
• If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the FTC module.
4. If all circuits test normal, replace S4.
Repair Instructions
