Drive Belt Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement (Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement).
2. Note the routing of the drive belt (1).
Important: Using a suitable tool rotate the drive belt tensioner (2) clockwise.
3. Rotate the drive belt tensioner (2) clockwise in order to release tension on the drive belt (1).
4. Remove the drive belt (1) from the crankshaft pulley (3).
5. Slowly release the drive belt tensioner (2).
6. Remove the drive belt (1).
Installation Procedure
1. Install and correctly route the drive belt (1) around the following:
* Water pump pulley
* Generator
* Drive belt tensioner
* Crankshaft balancer
* Air conditioning compressor
* Power steering pump
2. Using a suitable tool rotate the drive belt tensioner (2) clockwise.
3. Install the drive belt (1) to the crankshaft pulley (3).
Important: Make sure the drive belt (1) is correctly aligned and seated into the grooves of the accessory drive pulleys.
4. Slowly release the drive belt tensioner (2).
5. Remove the suitable tool from the drive belt tensioner (2).
6. Install the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement (Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement).
