Circuit/System Verification

Ignition ON, observe the function of ABS indicator, the ABS indicator should turn ON for 5 seconds and turn OFF.

Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the EBCM.
2. Ignition ON, verify that the ABS indicator is OFF.

If not the specified condition, test the control circuit terminal 10 for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the instrument panel cluster.

3. Connect a 10 A fused jumper wire between the control circuit terminal 10 and ground. Verify that the ABS indicator is ON.

If not the specified condition, test the control circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the bulb or instrument panel cluster.

4. If all circuits test normal, replace the EBCM.

Repair Instructions
