Function
The coil of the fuel injector is supplied on one side with B+ (battery voltage) and on the other with ground via an end-stage of the ECM. For these faults the connection to ground is monitored.

Diagnostic conditions
A fault is recognized and stored in memory when the engine speed is above 80 1/min and the battery voltage is between 7.5 Volt and 17 Volt.

Diagnostic procedure
Check fuel injector.
- Remove connector of injector 1
- Connect ohmmeter to pin 1 and pin 2 of injector.
- Specified value: 15 - 17 ohms.

Check wiring..

NOTE: At fuel injector 1, the ti-signal is taken for the ECM.





1. Check wiring from ECM, pin 3 to fuel injector 1,pin 2 for continuity or short circuit to B+ or ground.
2. Check wiring from ECM, pin 3 to board computer, pin 22 or short circuit to B+ or ground.
