P1105
Oxygen sensor heating 1 behind catalytic converter - above upper limit.
P1110
Oxygen sensor heating 2 behind catalytic converter - above upper limit.
Function:
The oxygen sensor generates a voltage signal at approximately 300°C that determines the fuel/air mixture. This signal is used for the regulation of the fuel injection. The oxygen sensor is heated to bring it quickly to operating temperature to start oxygen sensing earlier.
The oxygen sensors behind the catalytic converter are used to monitor the conversion rate.
Diagnosis Conditions:
400 seconds after oxygen sensor heating is on, when no DTC "Oxygen sensor heating below lower limit" is stored in memory.
NOTE: Heating of oxygen sensors (1 and 2) behind catalytic converters is supplied by a final stage. With a fault in the heating circuit both heating circuits (1 and 2) are always stored in memory as faulty.
Oxygen sensor 1 cylinders 1 to 3
Oxygen sensor 2 - cylinders 4 to 6
Connector color grey - behind catalytic converter
Connector colour black - ahead of catalytic converter

Diagnostic Procedure:
1. Check resistance of oxygen sensor heating.
1. Remove connector of oxygen sensor 1/2 behind catalytic converter.
2. Connect ohmmeter on pin side to pins 1 and 2.
Specified Value: 1.8 - 2.5 Ohms at 20°C.
2. Check oxygen sensor and wiring from ECM to disconnect oxygen sensor 1/2 behind catalytic converter for short circuit to plus.
1. Remove connectors for oxygen sensor 1/2 behind catalytic converter.
2. Start engine and run engine at high speed for ten minutes.
3. Connect voltmeter at sleeve to pin 1 (plus) and pin 2 of connector.
Specified Value: battery voltage.
Connect voltmeter at sleeve to pin 2 (plus) and ground.
Specified Value: approx. 0 Volt.
4. Turn engine off.
5. Remove ECM connector.
6. Remove ignition, injection and oxygen sensor heating relay and bridge terminals 30 and 87.
7. Connect voltmeter at sleeve to pin 2 (plus) and ground of oxygen sensor connector.
Specified Value: 0 Volt.
