P1600
P1600
Power Supply - signal Implausible.
P1600
Power Supply - Below Lower Limit.
P1601
Power Supply - Above Upper Limit.
Function:
The ECM and the RAM cells are supplied with voltage via terminal 30. If the voltage exceeds or falls below the voltage limits, reliable storage of the faults or adaption values is no longer ensured.
Diagnostic Conditions:
- Speed greater than 0 km/h.
- No error in vehicle speed.
NOTE: When a fault is recorded in memory, the idle air control adaptation is blocked.

Diagnostic Procedure:
Diagnostic trouble code P1600 - signal implausible:
Diagnostic trouble code P1600 - below lower limit:
Diagnostic trouble code P1601:
1. Check wire, terminal 30, for contact resistances.
1. Remove connector X 59.
2. Connect voltmeter to pin 5 (positive) on pin side and ground.
Display: Battery positive voltage.
If no battery positive voltage is displayed, check wire from connector X 59, pin 5, to current distributor fuse C 1 for continuity. Check connectors for corrosion.
3. Reconnect connector X 59.
4. Connect special tool 9616 to wiring harness.
5. Connect voltmeter to special tool 9616, pin 26 (positive), and ground.
Display: Battery positive voltage.
If no battery positive voltage is displayed, check wire from special tool 9616, pin 26, to cavity side of connector X 59, pin 5, for continuity. Check connectors for corrosion.
