Power Supply - Interruption.

Function:
The memory components are supplied with voltage by terminal 30. If terminal 30 is interrupted (for instance, if the battery is disconnected), the adaptation values are erased.

Diagnostic Conditions:
No special diagnostic conditions required.

NOTE: This DTC does not necessarily mean that a fault exists. This DTC is also recorded in memory if the battery is disconnected or the ECM connector is pulled off. In such cases, erase the DTC memory and road test the vehicle.

Diagnostic Procedure:



1. Check wiring for terminal 30 for continuity.
1. Remove connector X 59.
2. Connect voltmeter on pin side to pin 5 (plus) and ground.

Display: Battery positive voltage.

If no battery positive voltage is displayed, check wiring from connector X 59, pin 5, to current distributor fuse C 1, for continuity. Check connectors for corrosion.

3. Reconnect connector X 59.
4. Connect special tool 9616 to wiring harness.
5. Connect voltmeter to special tool 9616, pin 26 (plus) and ground.

Display: Battery positive voltage.

If no battery positive voltage is displayed, check wiring from special tool 9616, pin 26, to cavity side of connector X 59, pin 5, for continuity. Check connectors for corrosion.
