Fault Code 5527
Fault code 5527Transfer via CAN not possible
Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- Battery positive voltage > 10 V
- Electrical test of CAN bus
Possible cause of fault
- Short circuit between the two CAN leads (CAN high and CAN low)
- Short circuit between CAN high and ground
- Short circuit between CAN low (drive) and B+
- A control module connected to the CAN bus is faulty
NOTE:
- The following control modules are connected to the CAN drive bus:
- DME
- Tiptronic
- PSM and steering angle sensor
- as of model year 2002: Instrument cluster
