TEST POINT 20
Potentiometer mirror Right Vertical Open Circuit

Fault Code 22
This fault is stored in the following cases:
1. There is an open circuit in the wire to the potentiometer right rearview mirror.
2. The potentiometer is faulty.
3. The control module is faulty.

Fault Effect: No automatic adjustment possible

Elimination:

- Replace support with gear unit.

- Actuate switch for memory seat adjustment.

- The text in the fault memory changes from present to not present if the cause of the fault has really been eliminated.

- If the fault is no longer present, erase the fault memory.

- If the fault is still present, there is a fault in the wire.

For a fault in the wire, proceed as described below:

- Disconnect mirror plug from the control module.

- Disconnect plug at support with gear unit.

- Use an ohmmeter to check for open circuit on the support plug Pin 5 and the mirror plug on the control module Pin 11

Display: < 5 ohms

- Use an ohmmeter to check for open circuit on the support plug Pin 7 and the mirror plug on the control module Pin 4.

Display: < 5 ohms

- Use an ohmmeter to check for continuity on the support plug Pin 1 and Pin 3.

- If no fault is detected in the wire, replace the control module.
