Mechanical fault while removing audio CD from reader

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- PCM2/CDR23 ON
- Functional audio CD inserted correctly in CD changer
- Start CD changer

NOTE:
- Actuating the operating buttons for '≥ 1 Min,' results in a fault code 8003 being recorded in PCM2 MMI/CDR23.
- Deactivate the 'automatic traffic announcement' before performing the diagnosis on the PCM2/CDR23, If this is not done, the diagnosis will abort.

Possible cause of fault
- CD changer faulty

NOTE:
- The MOST optical waveguide is connected to the following control modules:
- PCM2/CDR23
- CD changer
- Amplifier
- Telephone/telematics
