CAN: Communication DME Disturbed

Reception of the CAN messages from the DME control module is checked.

NOTE: The Tiptronic control module uses alternative values for the accelerator pedal value, engine speed, torque, altitude factor and the throttle valve actual value. The torque converter clutch is opened.

Diagnosis conditions
- Ignition on
- CAN message from DME control module is not received

Possible fault cause
- CAN bus open circuit in wiring between Tiptronic control module and DME control module

Affected terminals
- Terminal L, H

Diagnosis/troubleshooting

NOTE: Read out the fault memory of the DME control module and possibly rectify existing faults before troubleshooting.
