HBA servomotor

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition and light switched on
- Internal HBA (Xenon) control module function test (once ignition and dipped beam headlight are on, a reference run is performed: headlight swivels down and slightly up again)

Possible cause of fault
- Line connection to servomotor faulty
- HBA servomotor faulty
- HBA (Xenon) control module faulty

NOTE: The HBA positioning motor only performs one outward stroke movement. A threaded spindle changes the internal rotary motion to a stroke movement.

Affected pins
- HBA (Xenon) control module plug: pin 6, pin 9, pin 10, pin 11, pin 12
- HBA positioning motor plug: pin 1, pin 2, pin 3, pin 4, pin 5

Diagnosis/troubleshooting

NOTE: The numbering of the pins on the headlight housing plug can be seen as a mirror image of the headlight mounting plate plug shown.
