P1914
P1914Brake Booster Pressure Sensor - Signal Implausible/No Signal
Diagnostic conditions
- Battery voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Ignition switched on
Possible cause of fault
- Open circuit in sensor wire
- Connector removed from brake booster pressure sensor
- Disconnection point KE2, pin 5 disconnected
- Brake booster pressure sensor faulty
- DME control module faulty
Affected pins
DME control module connector B, pin 85, and brake booster pressure sensor connector, pin 4
Diagnosis/troubleshooting
NOTE: If connector A is disconnected from the DME control module and the ignition is or was switched on, the 'DME Control Module Timeout' fault is recorded in many control modules.
NOTE: If control module connector A was disconnected from the DME in the course of troubleshooting or if the voltage supply was interrupted elsewhere (battery, fuse), the throttle adjusting unit must be adapted.
NOTE: The wiring for DME control module connector B, pin 85, and brake booster pressure sensor connector, pin 4 is routed via the KE2 interface, pin 5.
