Symptoms

Rattling/buzzing noises from around the instrument cluster.

Causes and remedial action
Cause
Rattling/buzzing noises can come from around the instrument cluster caused by tolerances between the upper part of the dashboard and the instrument cluster.

Remedial action
In the event of a complaint, stick two felt strips on the underside of the instrument cluster.

Tools and materials

997.561.509.00 => Felt strips (2 pieces required)

Preliminary work

1. Remove instrument cluster. -> 902519 Removing and installing instrument cluster 90251900 Removing and installing instrument cluster.

Reworking the instrument cluster

Stick strips of felt -inset, item 1- on the left and right of the instrument cluster -item 2- at position -x = 3 mm-.
